Its getting to be warmer :-)

Oh! I was waiting so long for those long days.
Days full of sun. No wind.
Energy just came and hope is going to stay with us, please!
Those days when woke up and smile arises on all the faces around:-)
Maybe this is why Franek asked me today: Mum, how the people come from? Who gave a birth all of them? How are they growing up?
I had already some series of those questions, when being pregnant with Janek, but
they coming up again and again:-)
What would you say?
I just explained him the true (in easy and affordable way) and said I'll show him the pictures in the book..
He had very melancholic mood today.
In opposite to Janek which just can't sit in place at all.
We just sitting out and grabbing all the sunshine coming last few days in case is going to rain here again.
I just love when I can wear them only some comfortable blouse and trainers
and let them go to catch the adventures:-)

Stylish kids shoes, please!

It was fantastic weather today. We had a warm and sunny day. I don't like to waste those days for a shopping but I knew I wouldn't have the other day for it.
We just had to go and buy new shoes for my older son Franek.

I thought I know what I am looking for him. The shoes supposed to be comfortable, good quality, durable and should look good with different outfits. Should be easy...?
We ate our lunch earlier and drove to Dublin. I made some research in my local area and I didn't like anything.  But Janek had too short nap  and didn't eat lunch too much as well so you can imagine how happy (UNHAPPY) he was going for shopping. He doesn't like shopping as real man does:-) So he was rude most of the time, doing mess and so on. Both of them started to be very hungry and thirsty as soon as we left home...I've got a baby bag with some snacks, but all finished before we reached Dublin! So I was trying to do my shopping walk as quick as possible (even the weather was such a wonderful that I could have endless walk thru Grafton St). I loved Camper's from the first try. But I said to myself - lets try the different ones.

We left first store and visited three others - Franek, which like going for shopping (such unusual, specially for boy), started to be a little bit of mad trying sixth or seventh pair, he didn't mind which we are going to get for him. Janek started to show: I NEED a change:-)
I liked the Converse ones and Lacoste as well, price was good too, but I still couldn't decide. There was no proper size as well. Converse were beatifull - like 2 in 1, because had a velcro, they were leather but still  may look very good with any trousers - jeans, sports suits or fabric ones...They would give fresh look and peace of style to any outfit. But there was no size...
Lacoste - fantastic - soft leather, looked fabulous - but I couldn't decide for colour and Franek doesn't know how to use laces...so would be a problem at school.
Finally we reached another store with very different shoes, but there was no sizes for him as well! I think, because he was born in a baby boom year :-)
I may come back there, because they had nice range of infant shoes, just like for Janek - I took few pictures of them.

So what we did? After two hours of walking from store to store, with a hungry and bored kids, we came back to the first store we visited and bought Camper's :-)
They have just right size, they can be worn with any style of outfit, they have quite original colour. They are such soft and comfortable, that I am jealous and my buy some for myself too...They have some own history as well. Check it on their web campershoes.com
And they are just lovely for us.
Below is Franek the other day - you can see how he is playing usually on shopping!
Today is a month, since I started my blog! But I feel a little lonely here - no comments, not too many likes for FB fanpage...Should I keep doing it?

Kids health is in the air...

Welcome back to the world! I have so many things to tell (and write) about, that I couldn't decide how to start again:-)
Because we have 100% Irish weather today (and yesterday and the day before...), I've decided to say something about my children's health (in overall), wearing to the weather and lack of the internet...

My first golden rule for a healthy child is : go out for a walk for min 2 hours a day (in the summer twice a day).
When Franek was a little baby, going for a walk with him in a buggy was giving me a chance of meeting some other people around me and loose some extra pounds left after pregnancy. That was always my part of the day - to wear myself and go out to get new energy from the air. Sitting at home its just boring for me. When Franek was growing we started to take a short walks on feet. I could watch on the world with his baby eyes - every flower or stone had such an interesting shape and colour, different cars on the road...so on. I was talking to him and later with him about it:-)
When he was getting bigger and stronger he has got the first ride on, trike, than scooter and finally a bike. Those ride ones helped me when I wanted to go with him for a longer distance or just keep him busy when out. I think I don't need to explain the benefits of using those ride ons for a child:-)
I just want to say that going out with a baby doesn't need to be boring. If you can, find a friend with a child and go together - time goes quicker! And I do the same with both now. Off course its little bit harder to manage every day goings out for two - they have a little different routines and Franek goes to school, so he is always missing our morning walk.

Thankfully, when I was with no internet access, we have got a short two days, still quite cold, but sunny:-) We jumped in to the one of the fantastic playgrounds ( this one is in Malahide Co. Dublin). We've been missing so much those longer and warmer days! We could take off winter coats and just run around and play with the sand on the first time this year.
If its going about an internet and other media such a TV - its a benefit for a child when we don't have them at home for sure! At once we are getting much more time to spend together and talk or play. But this a topic for another post too.
Coming back to the health topic - my second rule is - do not wear your child as yourself! We have to remember that they are still on the move. So while we standing and looking at them most of the time, they doing a lot of exercises, so they feel much warmer than me. So I think the time for a lighter jacket came in. Its good to have to some additional layers under, that you can add or remove when needed. I still keep them with a hat, but only because of Irish spring wind.
I think the rules work - Franek is five this month and he never had an antibiotic and any serious infection. Janek had to get antibiotic twice, which is good result so far anyway.
Children wellbeing is a genetic and it is dependant of the food and sleeping routine as well, in my opinion:-)

I can't wait for more sunny days and planning short trips to the sea, farm, zoo...or wherever we can have a great fun outside:-)

Green day...

How did you get on St Paddy's weekend? I was really surprised discovering I have nearly all weekend OFF, so first time since years I was able to celebrate those festive days with my family!

Early morning (really early for BH days - 7am:-) Franek started to prepare for St Patrick Day. He took off most of his green items in one place (including winter jacket), and he invited us for green breakfast:-).  Barely opened my eyes, we had to enjoy Green Day!

We agreed with mr Daddy brother and his wife, that we are going to watch the local parade after 11pm. But kids wanted to watch Mickey Mouse instead...so preparing to go out took us around 45 minutes. Includes such an attractions as catching one ore the other and trying to put some items on:-))) Finally, when we've been nearly ready to step out of the house - Janek had to be changed (nappy! - dirty job...). I was sweating and frustrated...oooooh!

We got there finally. It was nice to see, we have so many local activities in place and kids were happy to see those different vehicles and colourful crowd on the street. We went for carousels the day before as well - and you won't hear me, how I screamed!
