May picnic at botanic garden!

It's not going to be about tiredness, lactation issues, parenting obstacles or any other bad things today.
Grab your coffee and a chocolate bar (sic!), sit in your cosy chair (alone) and relax! It's May Bank Holiday, so I am going to share a few photos (we've got a million, so was so hard to choose some for you...) and give you some way how to spend the days off with your family - and its FREE:-)

Only when we went there I realised that we go there every year for a first May weekend!
The place is named National Botanic Gardens Glasnevin in Dublin.
What is important for the families with couple of children - the entrance is free and you can walk there how long you want to. We are going there when is colder or raining as well, because they have few closed areas that you can look at rare flowers or cacti.
Franek loves going there, because of the cacti! Do you remember, that in Cars from Disney Lightening McQuinn came up in to cacti:-)
The only one disadvantage I can see, is that you are not allowed to bring the bikes.
We sat in exactly same place where before and I could remember how Franek was crawling there few years ago:-)
This year was a time for Janek. He was so excited running around and between bushes and flowers.
Going there we feel that spring definitely is here and summer just approaching:-) Hopefully!
I had to bring a picnic blanket and tableweare set to make a real picnic.
When we came in there, Franek has choosen the place and managed to put everything in place:-)
And we enjoyed those couple of minutes when you can lay down on the grass,
look on the sky and just listen to the nature:-)
Janek has got VERY dirty at the end of the trip, but this was obvious if I decided to wear him white trousers:-)) My hubbie said he doesn't like this style but I love to make Sunday a special day and let him wear something different than sport suit.

This was a lovely day. One of those I wasn't thinking about a job and how many things left to do at home.
We just enjoyed the sun.

This week will be two months I switched to the blog, so for this occasion I'm preparing a special surprise:-) Watch me in the next days...

Its getting to be warmer :-)

Oh! I was waiting so long for those long days.
Days full of sun. No wind.
Energy just came and hope is going to stay with us, please!
Those days when woke up and smile arises on all the faces around:-)
Maybe this is why Franek asked me today: Mum, how the people come from? Who gave a birth all of them? How are they growing up?
I had already some series of those questions, when being pregnant with Janek, but
they coming up again and again:-)
What would you say?
I just explained him the true (in easy and affordable way) and said I'll show him the pictures in the book..
He had very melancholic mood today.
In opposite to Janek which just can't sit in place at all.
We just sitting out and grabbing all the sunshine coming last few days in case is going to rain here again.
I just love when I can wear them only some comfortable blouse and trainers
and let them go to catch the adventures:-)

Sunday afternoon...

What do you like to do on Sunday afternoon? The family day...cup of tea, going out or meet with friends??? We went to the seaside :-)

When I have day off I'm trying to catch up all home work. But I want to catch all the moments with my children as well, specially on Sunday.

I prefer to pick up some nice place to go instead of playing at home. Specially when the weather is good enough...

I promised to Franek that we're going to the sea today. But Irish weather is changing its face million times a day, so when we saw the rain in the morning I still kept a hope We will go..

Just after the lunch we could see the sun, so quickly picked up the changing bag and some drinks and went for a short trip. Franek took his bucket and shovels.
So very happy we landed to the seaside.

And than ... OMG ! Janek has got crazy! He run straight to the sea, and there was no way to play with a sand with Franek. I had to run and catch Janek ! But he's got wet very quickly any way:-) Thankfully they had a few minutes playing together but then started to fight about the shovels.

Finally, Janek lay down on the ground and started to roll on himself :-) Then, very dirty and happy went to the nearest playground.

Hope you had nice weekend too...

Preparing for Easter Part 2. or Kids in style.

So, Easter Sunday tomorrow, just one cake and some small clean up after all left. Because is the one of the special days in the year; let's think about something more pleasure. What my kids have to wear, while going out on those festive days?

I think, that every child, no matter if boy or girl, should have a plain, white shirt in their wardrobe. The most important is, that the shirt's fabric must be of the highest quality. I like reach, linen ones - they are not so formal and still are very comfortable for children. When you've got good shirt, you can add many different trousers or skirts or accessories ( like some sweaters below). And here you go - your child will always look good, and you can use them for many occasion - not only for the festive days.

If its going about trousers - I love, I have to say that, I love bright ones - in a colour of sand or even the white ones. I know - you'll say, they are not practical, because we'll be dirty after 2 minutes - but when I'm going for shopping - those are the first that I can see on the hangers:-) So I always have minimum of one pair of them. I just think, that they are adding that something special; my kids look more fresh and sunny:-) So, this is a kind of my proposition of children's outfits for not only festive days. If you have white shirt, plain and some bottoms in a good condition - you are ready to !

Franek:
Shirt - Polarn O. Pyret
Trousers - Gap
Sweater - Zara
Janek:
Shirt - Mamas & Papas
Trousers - H & M
Sweater - United Colours of Benetton

By the way - we all wish you a very Happy Easter !!!

Green day...

How did you get on St Paddy's weekend? I was really surprised discovering I have nearly all weekend OFF, so first time since years I was able to celebrate those festive days with my family!

Early morning (really early for BH days - 7am:-) Franek started to prepare for St Patrick Day. He took off most of his green items in one place (including winter jacket), and he invited us for green breakfast:-).  Barely opened my eyes, we had to enjoy Green Day!

We agreed with mr Daddy brother and his wife, that we are going to watch the local parade after 11pm. But kids wanted to watch Mickey Mouse instead...so preparing to go out took us around 45 minutes. Includes such an attractions as catching one ore the other and trying to put some items on:-))) Finally, when we've been nearly ready to step out of the house - Janek had to be changed (nappy! - dirty job...). I was sweating and frustrated...oooooh!

We got there finally. It was nice to see, we have so many local activities in place and kids were happy to see those different vehicles and colourful crowd on the street. We went for carousels the day before as well - and you won't hear me, how I screamed!
